The 9 P's of being a digital citizen

Passwords:  Passwords should be unique and include letters, numbers, symbols, and uppercase and lowercase.  You should use different passwords for different websites and should never use private information as part of the password.

Private Information: Information that can be used to identify you is private information.  These are things like address, email address, or phone number.  Strangers could use this information to find your or contact you.

Personal Information: Information like your favorite book or hobby, the school you attend, or names of your pets.

Photos: Some photos can reveal personal or private information. Are there any addresses listed in your pictures?  Is your geotagging on?

Property: Original content online belongs to someone else. For more information on Copyright, Plagarism and Fair Use

Permission: Make sure you get permission to use others' works, make sure to cite your sources.

Protection: Watch out for viruses, malware, and identity theft.

Professionalism: Remember to make sure your digital footprint is professional.  Supervisors will look at social media before hiring you.

Personal Brand: What do you want your digital footpring to look like?

What is Netiquette? (include social networking and cyberbullying policies)

You must include at least

*three embedded videos

*six images, and

*six Internet resources (title and URL of the resource) for across the topics.

You should reference the sources for each topic/page, as well.
